Checking crankshaft

Check the crankshaft should be carried out as follows:
- Carefully check the crankshaft for possible defects, measure the neck of radical bearings and bearings of rods neck. Cervical crankshaft bearing and the crank pins can be further sanded up to three times, so the shaft can be mounted with the bearing of the smaller size. It must be remembered that cervical crankshaft bearing capacity of 1.0 liter engine has the same diameter as the neck for the other engines, but the diameter of the crank pins of the crankshaft is less than about 6.0 mm. For more information, see. "Technical Data";
- Hold the crankshaft between centers (or install both bearings on the outer cervix prism), and on the neck of the central bearing with a dial gauge to check for heartbeat, which should not exceed 0.06 mm. Otherwise, replace the shaft;
- To measure the operating clearance in the main bearings and connecting rod bearings as follows:
1) thoroughly clean the bearing body and insert them into the channels of the cylinder block and connecting rods;
2) to the neck of each main bearing of round plastic cores Plastigage and install main bearing caps with embedded inserts. Tighten the bolts to 65 Nm. When installing it is necessary to tighten the bolts another 90 ?, but the measurement of the gap can not do that. After that the shaft does not rotate;
3) to check the working backlash of bearings of rods to have a rod to the crank pin of the crankshaft and put plastic strips Plastigage the upper side of the crank pin of the crankshaft. Fit bearing cover with insert and tighten the nut and bolt tightening torque of 30 Nm. And in this case not to further delay of 90 ?. Since the crank shaft can not continue, this operation is carried out, respectively, with two bearings of rods located in the BDC;
4) Loosen the main bearing caps; have bearing rods alternately loosen the two nuts;
5) measured by being in complete Plastigage template in the widest place the size of the deformed under pressure strips Plastigage (see. Fig. 79). If the size does not exceed the limits of 0.03-0.08 mm, it is necessary to use a new bearing shells, checking whether there earlier repair grinding necks. In bearings of rods there are also differences. The engine capacity of 1.0 liters working gap of 0,010-0,047 mm for the other engines - 0,006-0,047 mm. Limits wear specified in "Technical Information";

6) when checking the working air gap bearing rods and crankshaft to carry out this operation for the other two necks of bearings of rods with the same measurements as described above.
