Installing the crankshaft

Install the crankshaft should be carried out, guided by Fig. 25 and the procedure described below:

Details on the front side of the engine
Fig. 25. Details on the front side of the engine: 1 - the top casing of a gear belt; 2 - a gear belt; 3 - bolts 20 Nm; 4 - a protective casing of a gear belt pulley for the pump; 5 - bolt 80 Nm; 6 - a gear pulley of a camshaft; 7, 8 - bolts 10 Nm; 9 - a casing of a gear belt (inside); 10 - O-ring; 11 - the water pump; 12 - belt tensioning device; 13 - nut 20 Nm; 14 - mounting bracket; 15 - a gear pulley of a cranked shaft; 16 - bolt 40 Nm + 90 ?; 17 - the crankshaft pulley; 18 - bolt 20 Nm; 19 - ribbed belt; 20 - bolt 90 Nm + 120 ?; 21 - the bottom casing of a gear belt

- Rub main channels and install bearing inserts with grooves for lubrication, so that the mounting tabs includes a corresponding recess (Fig. 80). Inserts carefully oiled

;
- Set the central thrust bearing both the half-rings located in the block. Lubrication grooves are pointing in the direction of the block;
- To establish carefully the crankshaft bearing shells. If the rods are still in the cylinder block, the bearings of rods should be removed on the crank pins;
- Install the lower bearing shells to the respective crankshaft bearing caps (mounting tabs into the mounting groove caps) and carefully oiled surface. The two other persistent half rings are installed on the cover. They are also well lubricated. Lubricating grooves have to be directed towards the crankshaft;
- Set the cover on the housing and fit them landing blows rubber or plastic hammer. Covers are labeled and must be installed in accordance with them;
- Tighten bolts of covers, from the center to the edge in several passes to the tightening torque of 65 Nm. After tightening all the bolts again to start with the center of the cover and tighten all the bolts 1/4 turn (90 ?) without the use of a torque wrench. Then several times crankshaft to detect jamming;
- Check again the axial play as described in Section. 2.6.1 Dismantling of the crankshaft (see. Also Fig. 76 or 77);

- Install the front oil seal rings (Sect. 2.6.4), and the cover from the back of the cuff with a new gasket on the crankcase. Tighten the bolts in a circle 10 N ? m;
- Timing gear set with the key;
- Set the drive belt as described in Section. 2.7.1, and mount the cover;
- To establish a flywheel. The bolts must always be replaced. Thread bolts previously treated with sealant D6, preventing loosening. Now, this is not required. The bolts are tightened torque of 60 Nm, then dovorachivat another 90 ?. Lock crankshaft rotation by setting between the cheek and the wall of the crank housing wooden wedge or locking the flywheel by rotation in accordance with Fig. 75;

- Set the clutch in accordance with the designation on it. The clutch disc must be centered at the same time reliably (Sect. 7.1). Bolts tightened evenly crosswise to 25 N ? m;
- To establish the oil pump (see. Sect. 3.2.2). Be sure to check that the drive chain was stretched as necessary;
- Install the sump as described in the relevant section. Pay attention to the change in the method of installation of the pallet (March 1995);
- All other work carried out in the reverse order of removal.
