Cuffs crankshaft

Front and rear cuff crankshaft must be replaced each time the crankshaft or covers. As already mentioned, with respect to the rear cuff means complete replacement set lid with a cuff. It is necessary to observe special precautionary measures and to have a special tool, the list of which is given below. The collar and lid may be replaced and also when the engine is established, unless clearly shows that the oil flows in this particular zone. Slip the clutch may be caused by, for example, leaking rear oil seal rings.
Withdrawal sleeves
If necessary, remove the front cuff must be removed ribbed belt, the cover of a gear belt, timing belt pulleys and crankshaft. To loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt to include fifth gear, brake the car a lay brake and unscrew the bolt with the Allen head.
To remove the front cuff is usually followed by using the tool shown in Fig. 55. Removal is carried out in the same manner as described for the cuff camshaft Sect. 2.3.7. Nevertheless, there are differences. Since the tool can not be pressed into the sleeve, then it should be inserted carefully oiled puller and screw it with the ratchet. Then loosen the handle and rotate the inner part in the direction of the crankshaft until the cuff is not released. Fig. 81 shows how to install the tool and ratchet clutch.

Before removing the rear cuff and, accordingly, the cover should first remove the gearbox, clutch and flywheel before it becomes possible to detach the cap from the collar. Located beneath the gasket should always be replaced.
Installing cuffs
The engine is mounted on the car, setting the cuff is only possible using a special tool.
To install the collar must be put on the guide sleeve retractor device 3083 on the crankshaft, lubricate the inner and outer sides of the cuffs and put it on the guide sleeve. Then put on the gland devices on the guide sleeve and tighten the bolt located in the middle, as shown in Fig. 82, before landing cuff. Then again dismantle the parts fit.

The rest of the work carried out in the reverse order of removal. Install the crankshaft sprocket on the shaft. Lubricate the bolt after the tightening torque to tighten a bolt of 90 Nm. From this position, using a standard nut and tighten the bolt further 1/3 turn (120 ?). Further tightening the bolt can be carried out in several steps. It is important that was eventually reached 120 ? angle. To tighten, you can use a graduated disk.
