The drive pulley of the torque converter (for vehicles with automatic transmission)

The drive pulley torque converter automatic transmission with details
Fig. 147. The drive pulley torque converter automatic transmission with the details: 1 - washer; 2 - the puck gain; 3 - the bolt

The drive pulley torque converter automatic transmission is secured with six screws 3 (Fig. 147) to the flange of the crankshaft. Between the mounting bolts and the drive pulley is to strengthen the washer 2, which is on the outer edge of the bevel, and should be installed by this slant toward the drive pulley.
The installation of the drive pulley is conducted as follows:
- Attach the drive pulley with washer gain 2 to the flange of the crankshaft six bolts securing 3, which should be wrapped by hand;
- Pre-tighten the bolts of the drive pulley torque 30 Nm;

Measurement interval between the drive pulley and the surface of the cylinder
Fig. 148. Measurement interval between the drive pulley and the surface of the cylinder

- Measure the distance from the caliper cylinder to the drive pulley (Fig. 148). The resulting value must be within the range of 19.5 to 21.1 mm. If not, set the washer 1 (see. Fig. 147);
- Tighten the bolts to 60 Nm then tighten them another 90 ? (a quarter turn).
