Lateral withdrawal of the car

Taper
The taper caused by slight displacement of the tread and / or belt with respect to the geometric middle of the tire by a few tenths of a millimeter. Taper is not visually noticeable, and can not be measured in a garage.
Because of displacement stiffness inner and outer shoulder of the tire is different, resulting in different strength. acting on the wheel support surface. Therefore, a belt and a tread "resting" on the road surface with varying force (F1, F2). The result is a cone. Caused by taper force (Fk) may, depending on the speed to become so large that it starts to take away the car in any direction.

Elements of tires
Fig. 4.18. Elements of the tire: 1 - board; 2 - shoulder; 3 - the protector; 4 - metal cord breaker; a - geometric middle of the tire; b - the actual position of the belt; it can be shifted inwards or outwards

The forces acting on the tire
Fig. 4.19. The forces acting on the tire: 1 - displacement of the belt / tread; F1 - unequal forces acting on the supporting surface of the wheel; F2 - unequal forces acting on the supporting surface of the wheel; Fk - force created taper

If the force (Fk) on one wheel axle is, for example, 50 N, the other wheel and 50 N, and these forces are also directed to the same side, they are added together. Due flipping tires on the drive side pull can be compensated because the forces will then act in the opposite direction.
Since the bus direction in which the force caused by the taper is not noticeable to determine what caused the tire side pull, you can only test drive and purposeful rearrangement of wheels and tires.
The bus consists of many elements and materials at the end of the manufacturing process time-consuming part of vulcanized. Because of this, we obtain various errors which may become visible at a more or less high lateral forces. These efforts may also appear on the new tires.

Unilateral withdrawal on the front axle
Reasons slip may lie in the chassis. However, experience has shown that in over 90% of complaints caused by lateral withdrawal tires.

Lateral withdrawal under normal driving conditions
The car "pulls" in any direction on a straight, level road with a smooth movement or moderate acceleration. At the same time there is an effort on the steering wheel.

Lateral withdrawal under hard acceleration
Lateral withdrawal under hard acceleration from a part incorporated in the design of vehicles with front wheel drive. Different conditions of friction wheels left and right, including the uneven road surface (potholes). and in this regard, and non-traction, a strong influence on driving performance. This issue is not covered by warranty.
