Repair air line
Damaged air pipes need to be replaced entirely. Replacement of the air duct is possible via the plug connector.
NOTE Place the repair must be in an area protected from water, such as in a niche of the wheel fender liner. Connector must be fixed using a clamp to the body or to the cable. |
To repair should choose straight air duct sections. With the help of cutting pliers VAS 6228 cut the air line at a right angle.
Mark the end of the air in the car and mounted the end of the segment using a waterproof slate (Fig. 4.45). Tags are used to control after repairs. Then build a new air line along the original mounting points. Insert both ends of the pipeline in the plug connector until it stops. Air pipes inserted into the connector is sufficient if the first color mark is not visible (the second mark is still visible).
