Check motors

Comfort in the car more and more provide the electric motors, control windows, sliding roof (hatch), central locking and electric aerial.

Each motor is activated the switch and for the most part by hand. If elektroantenny, the switch is automatically controlled radio.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the fuse of the motor and replace if necessary.

A warning

Electric windows and sunroof are safety machines, which as a result of excessive load is disconnected, and then, after a while, once again included. Before restarting is necessary to eliminate the cause of overload. The reasons may be frozen or contaminated glass window guides.

2. If the fuse blows again, it means that somewhere a short circuit.
3. To immediately determine whether or not the engine is OK, connect two additional wires (2 mm) from the battery directly to the motor car. Positive lead to the positive pole, negative cable to the negative pole of the motor. In cases of doubt, the location of the poles indicated in the diagram. If necessary, the motor can be removed. All electric cars are powered by on-board voltage (12 to 14). If the engine is running, it means there is a break in the circuit.

A warning

Slowly rotating motor or even a non-rotating, may indicate worn graphite brushes. In this case, replace the graphite brushes.

4. If the engine is running, determined by the wiring which supplies its current lead when the ignition is turned on and the switch.
5. Check warning lamp wire supply voltage to the motor. Since the current is large enough, then check the lamp filament, which has a sharp needle to pierce the connecting wires. It is easier to check the voltage. Terminals are marked with small numbers of electric motors. They are normalized:
- Terminal 32: earth connection,
- Terminal 33: positive (+) connection.
Engines left rotation, such as windows, have two positive connection:
- Terminal 33L: Connect left rotation,
- Terminal 33R: right rotation.

A warning

Wiper motor has a special designation terminals (see. Subsection 10.5).

6. If the motor voltage is missing, faulty circuit. To find the fault and correct wiring. Electric motors, due to the high current consumption are additional relays.
7. If the problem will not be found, check the circuit breaker.
8. If the cable is defective, it is wise to lay a new cable, as it is very difficult to find it open.
