Removing and installing steering column lock



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Hacksaw, cut the grooves in the heads of the bolts be cut. Remove the screws with a flat blade screwdriver and remove an arm of the steering column lock.

When installing the steering lock is necessary to use new bolts with cut head.

  1. Remove the lock with the steering column.
  1. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

Cardan joint

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the bolt of the universal joint to the steering shaft.
  1. Remove the universal joint from the steering shaft.
  1. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the steering shaft for damage and deformation.
  2. Check the steering shaft universal joint in the absence of backlash, damage and jamming.
  3. Check the bearing ball joint for wear and damage.

Setting

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
