Steering transfer




Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the air intake pipe.
  1. Remove the clamp on the pressure and the return hose to the crankcase steering transfer.
  2. Drain the hydraulic drive power steering.
  3. Disconnect pressure and return hoses from the steering gear housing.
  1. Remove the bolt connecting the universal joint shaft and pinion steering gear.
  1. Remove the bracket, dust cover and mounting plate cover.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the front wheels.
  1. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nuts pins of spherical hinges of tips of steering drafts in rotary fists. Puller 09568-31000 squeeze pins of spherical rod ends to the steering knuckle.
  1. Remove the right bracket stabilizer bar.
  1. Remove the front muffler.
  1. Remove the bolts and remove the clamp on the steering transmission and the pressure and return pipes.
  1. Move the steering gear and get it on the right side of the car.

When removing the steering gear, be careful not to damage the protective covers.

Check and pre-adjustment before installing

Secure the steering gear in a vise jaws shut with a soft material.


When attaching the steering gear in a vice wrap steering transfer cloth and take care not to damage it during compression vise.

Pre-load gear

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Measure the preload turning gear special tool 09565-11100 one revolution every 4-6 seconds. Also measure the force trigger rack. Full pre-load gear: 0.6-1.3 N ??? m.

Measure the preload for the full course of the rack.

  1. If the preload does not correspond to the required values, first of all, adjust the torque of the plug and re-check the preload of the gear.
  2. If the adjustment torque cork does not give positive results, test or replace the body of the stopper.

Resistance deviation steering rod

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take 10 variations of steering draft.
  1. Dynamometer to measure the force that must be applied to deflect the steering rod. The force deflection steering rod: 8-22 N.
  1. If the measured value exceeds the nominal value, replace the tie rod.

If the measured value is lower than the nominal value and the steering rod rotates smoothly and without play, it can be installed on the vehicle. However, if the measured value is less than 4.3 N, replace the tie rod.

Check corrugated protective cover

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Visually inspect the corrugated protective cover for damage and deterioration of its properties.
  2. Ensure that the protective cover is installed in the correct position.
  1. If corrugated protective cover is defective, replace it.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the tie rod end from steering draft.
  1. Blade screwdriver, remove the protective cover of the spherical rod end.
  1. Remove the belt clip on the corrugated protective cover.
  1. Remove the clamp fastening corrugated protective cover.
  1. Move the corrugated protective cover to the steering rod.

When replacing the corrugated protective cover, check for rust on the steering gear.

  1. Remove the guide tube from the crankcase pinion.
  2. In slow moving rack drain the crankcase steering transfer.

  1. Chisel, remove the lock washer fastening tie rod to the rack.
  1. Remove the tie rod to the rack.

When removing the steering rod, be careful not to turn the rack.

  1. Remove the lock nut securing the plug.
  1. The key 14 mm, remove the plug from the base of the steering gear.
  1. Remove the spring, the focus and the plug housing with the steering transmission.
  1. Remove the two screws and remove the valve body.
  1. Blade screwdriver to turn the rack stopper clockwise until the end of the locking ring comes out of the slot in the crankcase steering transfer.
  1. When the end of the retaining ring out of the housing bore of the cylinder rack, blade screwdriver to turn the lock steering gear counter-clockwise and remove the retaining ring.
  1. Remove the O-ring from the sleeve of the rack.
  1. Remove the oil seal ring of the rack bushing.
  1. Plastic hammer beat out the valve body from the housing.
  1. The special tool 09565-21000 remove the oil seal and the ball bearing from the valve body.
  2. Remove the ball bearing from the crankcase steering transfer.

Be careful not to damage the cylinder valve in the crankcase steering transfer.

  1. SPECIAL TOOLS 09573-21200, 09555-21000, remove the oil seal from the crankcase steering transfer.

Be careful not to damage the cylinder rack in the steering gear housing.

Check the rack

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the rack teeth for damage or wear.
  2. Check the contact surface of the oil seal for damage.
  3. Check the rack to the absence of deflection or twisting.
  4. Check O-ring for damage or wear.
  1. Check the oil seal for damage or wear.

Check valve gear

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check valve gear teeth for damage or wear.
  2. Check the contact surface of the oil seal for damage.
  3. Check O-ring for damage or wear.
  1. Check the oil seal for damage or wear.

Checking Bearing

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the bearing on absence of jamming or abnormal noise during rotation.
  2. Check the bearing on absence of excessive backlash.
  3. Check for needle bearing.

The rest of the test

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the surface of the cylinder crankcase steering gear for damage.
  2. Check the dust cover for damage, aging and cracking.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lubricate the sliding surface of the oil seal rack. Recommended lubricant: PSF-3.
  1. Reinstall the washer and oil seal in the steering gear housing to the position shown in the figure.
  1. Lubricate the sliding surface of the oil seal sleeve rack. Recommended lubricant: PSF-3.
  1. Install the oil seal into the hub of a steering gear.
  1. Lubricate the O-ring and install it into the hub of the rack.
  2. Lubricate the teeth of the rack. Recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI ?��2.

Do not block the vent hole in the grease rack.

  1. Place rack in the steering gear housing. Then, install the plug and stop the rack.
  1. Press the stopper rack until the groove and turning the lock, install the snap ring.

Retaining ring should not be visible through the opening in the housing rack.

  1. The special tool establish the oil seal and the ball bearing into the valve body.
  1. Apply oil and grease recommended by the valve assembly and place it in the steering gear housing.
  1. Oil the special tool and install the seal into the valve body. Install the valve body with O-ring in the steering gear housing.
  1. Install the lock washer and the tie rod and two sites stake the shoulder washer.
  1. Align the antennae lock washer with the slots on the crankcase steering transfer.
  2. Always use a new retainer.
  1. Install the plug, the spring and the emphasis in the order shown in the figure. Before installing, apply sealant to the threaded part of the stopper.
  1. Place rack in the center position and install the sleeve, and a spring emphasis. Before installing, apply sealant to the threaded part of the stopper. The special tool, tighten the cap torque of 15 N ??? m. Loosen the lid on the 30-60 ?� and tighten the lock nut tightening torque. Torque: 50-70 N ??? m.
  1. Tighten the guide tube the desired torque and set the adhesive rubber member.
  1. Lubricate the corrugated protective cover and place it in the groove of steering draft. Recommended lubricant: Silicone grease.
  2. Attach the new clamp corrugated protective cover.
  3. Check that the corrugated protective cover is not twisted.
  1. Fill lubricant protective cover, install it on the ball rod end and tighten the locking ring.

Recommended material:

A: POLY LUB GLY 801 KB or equivalent
B: SHOWA SUNLIGHT MB2 or equivalent
Protective Case: THREE BOND

  1. Install the tie rods in such a way that the length of the left and right track rod was the same. The length of the track rod: 204.5 mm.
  1. Check the pre-load gear.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On the right side of the car, set the steering gear.
  1. Install the dust cover and the plate.
  2. Attach the dust cover and insert a new clamp.
  1. Connect the gear shaft steering gear to the steering shaft.
  1. Further installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
  2. Bleed the hydraulic power steering.
