Checking the oil level (ATF) automatic transmission in
Keep the car until the oil (ATF) in PPC reaches normal operating temperature (70-80 ? C).
Place the vehicle on level ground.
Press the brake pedal and move the selector lever through all of the provisions of (holding it in each of them for a few seconds) to fill the oil (ATF) automatic transmission control all hydraulic torque converter and automatic transmission, and then set the selector lever in position ?N?.
Before removing the dipstick, clean the dirt from the seat beside him. Remove the dipstick and check the oil in the PPC (ATF).

NOTE
If the oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission has a burnt smell, then it is a sign of contamination with small particles of wear of the friction linings controls checkpoint. In this case, it may be necessary to overhaul a transmission.

The normal level of oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) must be in the range of "HOT" dipstick. If the level is below this, top up the oil to the automatic transmission (ATF) to normal levels.
Oil for automatic transmission fluid (ATF): GENUINE HYUNDAI ATF SP-II M.

NOTE
If the level of oil (ATF) in automatic transmissions is below normal, the oil pump will capture oil together with air, leading to the formation of bubbles and foaming of the hydraulic oil. This will reduce the operating pressure in the hydraulic control, which in turn will lead to a delay in changing gear (later including transfers) and slipping clutches or brakes. If the level of oil (ATF) in automatic transmissions greater than normal, due to the rotation of the planetary gear mechanisms arise copious foaming oil (ATF), which will ultimately lead to the same consequences as in the case of a low level of oil (ATF) in automatic transmissions. In both cases, air bubbles cause overheating, oxidation of the oil (ATF) and lacquer deposits, which disables the valves, clutches and actuators. Foaming also leads to the release of oil (ATF) automatic transmission through the crankcase breather that is mistaken for a leak.

Insert the dipstick in a regular hole.
In the case of major repair of an automatic transmission, or driving in heavy traffic conditions replacement of oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) and the oil filter is required. The procedure for replacing oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) is described below. It should be remembered that in automatic transmissions use only specific oil filters.

Changing the oil in the automatic transmission (ATF)
You can use the installation for quick replacement of oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission (ATF fluid charger). If such a facility is not, change the oil (ATF) in the automatic transmission, as described below.
Drain the oil (ATF) from hydraulic automatic transmission:
- Disconnect the hose that connects the gearbox oil cooler located inside the radiator cooling the engine;
- Start the engine and let the oil (ATF) to flow through the hose.
Terms of the operation:
- The engine idling;
- Selector lever is in position ?N?.

ATTENTION
One minute after the engine has to be drowned. If all the oil (ATF) emerged before then, the engine should be drown immediately.

Remove the drain plug on the bottom of the sump and drain the automatic transmission oil (ATF) of the automatic transmission oil pan.
Install the drain plug gasket and tighten the plug to 32 Nm.
Fill with new oil for automatic transmission (ATF) through the oil filler tube automatic transmission.

ATTENTION
If the nominal volume of oil for the automatic transmission (ATF) is not included in the transmission, stop pouring.

NOTE
Check for contamination in the drain oil (ATF). If the automatic transmission is filled oil (ATF) the nominal volume, again let to drain the oil from the gearbox.

Replace the external oil filter is automatic. At considerable pollution of oil (ATF) check the condition of the internal automatic transmission oil filter.
Fill with new oil for automatic transmission (ATF) through the oil filler tube automatic transmission.
Connect the oil cooler hose lever and securely reinstall the dipstick. Before installing the automatic transmission dipstick clean from dirt place around him.
Start the engine and let it work idling for 1-2 minutes.
Move the selector lever through all of the positions and then set it to ?N?.
Make sure the oil level in the automatic transmission (ATF) is in the range ?COLD? (?cold Automatic") dipstick. If the level is below this, then add the required amount of oil for the automatic transmission (ATF).
Pass on the car some distance to the oil temperature (ATF) has reached normal operating temperature (70-80 ? C), then again check the oil level in the automatic transmission (ATF), which should be in the range of "HOT" ("warmed Automatic") .

Dipstick

Fit the dipstick into the oil filler tube lever (Fig. 3.46).

Replace oil filter automatic transmission
Remove the air filter assembly, then use a special tool (key chain oil filter, etc.), remove the oil filter automatic transmission.
After removing the filter with fabric gloves or cloth clean the gearbox by splashing oil for automatic transmission (ATF), dirt, etc.
Clean the oil filter mounting lever.

Laying of the oil filter
Fig. 3.47. Laying of the oil filter

Apply a small amount of clean oil to the automatic transmission (ATF) surface of the O-ring of the oil filter lever (Fig. 3.47).
Install the automatic transmission oil filter in place.
Tightening torque: 11-13 Nm.
Check the oil level for the automatic transmission (ATF) in the gearbox.
