Self-diagnosis function

Connect tester HI-SCAN (Pro) to the standard data link connector (DLC).
Read the fault codes issued by the self-diagnostic system automatic. Then troubleshoot according to 3.13.

NOTE
The memory (RAM) electronic control unit can be stored up to 8 diagnostic trouble codes (in order of appearance).
In the case of multiple occurrence of any fault code, it is written to memory once.
If the number of stored DTCs or the conditions of occurrence of a fault (diagnostic trouble patterns) exceeds 8, the previously recorded fault codes will be deleted from the memory, in order, starting with the earliest.
Do not disconnect the battery before reading DTCs or conditions the fault occurred (diagnostic trouble patterns), because if the battery is disconnected, they will be deleted from the memory of the electronic control unit.

If the system is switched to emergency mode control and a transmission fixed to 3rd gear (gear shift is locked), the memory (RAM) ECU DTC written in code emergency operation. In total, the memory can be written in three of the DTC.
If the transmission is only in third gear (gearshift locked) and the ignition is turned to the ?OFF? (?Off."), The emergency mode will be canceled (cancellation), but the DTCs stored in memory (RAM ) of the electronic control unit.

Storing information in memory (memorization)
The memory can be stored no more than 8 DTCs and 3 parameters of the emergency operation.
If the memory capacity does not allow entry of new information, instead of stored DTCs and the emergency operation settings will be overwritten with the new sequence, starting with the earliest.
The same fault code can not be written into the memory more than once.

Automatic deletion of fault codes from memory (Automatic deletion)
All DTCs are automatically erased from memory after the oil temperature in the automatic transmission (ATF) will reach 50 ? C for 200 times after the last fault code in memory.
Forced removal of the faults memory
(Forced deletion)
The stored DTCs can be erased with a tester if the following conditions are met:
- The ignition key in position ?ON?;
- It is not found signals (pulses) from the crankshaft position sensor;
- It is not found signals (pulses) from the sensor output speed gearshift;
- It is not found signals (pulses) from the vehicle speed sensor;
- Emergency mode is not enabled.
