Check the torque converter in the fully locked car (Torque converter stall test)
The purpose of this test is to measure the maximum speed of the crankshaft of the engine when fully locked output shaft of an automatic transmission in the band ?D? and ?R?. The magnitude of this frequency can be determined performance freewheel stator torque converter, and the presence of slippage in the friction clutch and brake of an automatic transmission.
ATTENTION During this test does not allow anyone to be in the front or rear of the vehicle. |
Check the level and temperature of the oil in an automatic transmission, and engine coolant temperature. The oil level in the automatic transmission (ATF): at "MUSIC" dipstick. The oil temperature in the automatic transmission (ATF): 80-100 ? C. The engine coolant temperature: 80-100 ? C. Install the brake pads under the rear wheels (left and right). Raise the parking brake lever and depress the brake pedal all the way. Start the engine. Set the selector lever to position ?D?, click the stop on the accelerator and determine the speed of the crankshaft of the engine at that moment.
ATTENTION During this test, do not hold the throttle wide open for more than 8 seconds. If this test is necessary to carry out more than once, after each inspection turn selector lever in position ?N?, and run the engine at 1000 rpm -1 mode for 2 minutes to cool oil in the automatic transmission (ATF) between checks. Rated engine speed when fully locked car (stall test): 2100-2900 min -1. Move the selector lever to ?R? and repeat the test on a completely locked vehicle, similar to the above-mentioned items. Rated engine speed when fully locked car (stall test): 2100-2900 min -1. |
