Checking the system components of the automatic transmission
Check the throttle position sensor (TPS) The throttle position sensor is a potentiometer with a sliding contact, which moves according to the rotation axis of the throttle valve opening angle pointing. By turning the axis of the throttle sensor signal voltage changes its position. On the basis of changes in the voltage of the sensor signal and the rate of change of the electronic engine control unit determines the degree and rate of throttle opening.
Check the oil temperature sensor lever
| Fig. 3.52. Driving test the oil temperature sensor lever
|
Remove the automatic transmission oil temperature gauge. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the sensor connector at the control points.
Nominal value
Check the vehicle speed sensor (vehicle speed sensor)
Remove the vehicle speed sensor and connect a resistance of 3-10 ohms, as shown in Figure 3.53. Rotating shaft speed sensor of the car, make sure that the conclusions of 2-3 a voltage sensor connector (4 pulses per revolution).
Check the control relay automatic transmission (A / T control relay)
Remove the automatic transmission control relay. With wire connector "Crocodile? (jumper wires), connect the output of the automatic transmission control relay 2 with the positive (+) terminal of the battery and the output 4 - with a negative (-) terminal. Check the continuity between terminals 1 and 3 control relay when connecting and disconnecting from the terminals of the battery wires. If the job is different from the relay specified, replace the automatic transmission control relay.
Check solenoid valves
Remove the cover of control valves. Disconnect each solenoid valve.
| Fig. 3.56. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of each solenoid valve
|
Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of each solenoid valve (Fig. 3.56). If the resistance is outside the standard value, replace the solenoid valve.
NOTE The resistance across the terminals of the connector valve body (Fig. 3.57). |
