Like Remove the plug and drain oil for automatic transmission (ATF) of the gearbox (Fig. 3.91). Remove the air filter assembly. Remove the automatic transmission control cable. Disconnect the connector of vehicle speed sensor (speedometer).
| Fig. 3.92. Connectors starter interlock switch
|
Disconnect the switch of blocking of a starter, solenoid valves and automatic transmission oil temperature sensor (ATF) (Fig. 3.92).
Disconnect the oil cooler hoses automatic transmission (Fig. 3.93).
| Fig. 3.94. Securing engine on a special device
|
Fix the engine on a special device (traverse 09200-38001) for the mounting brackets (Fig. 3.94). Lift up the vehicle. Disconnect the tie rods, ball joints of the lower suspension arm and remove the drive shafts. Remove the steering gear and stabilizer bar.
NOTE Put labels relative position of the universal joint shaft of the steering shaft and steering before removing to simplify assembly. |
Remove the starter. Remove the bolts from the transmission. Remove the bolts from the gearbox to the engine. Remove the gearbox assembly via the strut transmission (T / M Jack).
ATTENTION Supports the engine and transmission to be installed in a specific order. |
To install the support bracket Bracket side engine mount. A support arm of a transmission. Bracket rear engine mount. Front engine mount bracket.
ATTENTION Be careful when installing the front engine mount bracket, Do not damage or deform the support. If the support is broken, it may be a strong vibration of the power unit with the engine idling. |
Setting
Connect the converter Transmission and install the transmission assembly to the engine (Fig. 3.97).
ATTENTION If you first install the torque converter to the engine, then the installation of the transmission will be damaged gland checkpoint. Therefore, prior to assembly of the power unit, always install the converter from the transmission. |
Install the automatic transmission control cable and adjust it following the procedure below. Move the selector lever switch and starter interlock (automatic transmission selector switch) on the gearbox in position ?N?, then connect the cable management lever. After connecting the cable to the intermediate control lever mounting bracket on transmission mount, cable clamp securely. Turn the adjusting nut to adjust the position of the automatic transmission control cable to the starter interlock switch (selector lever switch), so that there was no free lift cable. Then check that the selector lever is switched smoothly. Visually check the transmission control cable adjustment. Install the remaining parts made in the reverse order of removal.
