Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure

Gasoline is extremely flammable liquid least, so when working with components of the power system must take special precautions. DO not go near the place of work with a lit cigarette, naked flames or unprotected moving the shade. Do not make system maintenance supply in rooms with heaters powered by natural gas and fitted with a control torch (water heater, dryer, etc.). Every time there is a threat of falling gasoline on exposed skin of hands, wear latex gloves. Casually got splashes immediately wash off with soap and water. Spilled fuel immediately remove using a cloth. Fuel stain rags piled in a place where there is no likelihood of accidental fire her. The power supply system is constantly under pressure, so before you start disconnecting any fuel lines required to relieve pressure in the system. Always keep a fire extinguisher dry-chemical (Class B).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery. Uncover the fuel intake, thereby dropping the excess pressure in the fuel tank.
  2. Remove the cover from the union checking fuel pressure, located in the fuel line.
  1. Using a small screwdriver or a beard press Schrader valve in the test socket of the fuel pump. Be prepared to collect rags jetted with the fuel (wrap her head screwdriver and valve).
  1. Wrap a rag check valve (also enclose rags under it) - is necessary to prevent the fuel spray when opening the valve to release pressure in the system.
  2. Using a small screwdriver or a beard press the valve head in the test socket to clear through excess pressure (see. Illustration above). Spilled fuel immediately collect rags prepared in advance.
  3. Place the lid on the fuel pressure test nipple.
