Removing and installing fuel tank



See. The warning at the beginning of Section Procedure dumping fuel pressure.


This procedure is much simpler if the time of its holding tank to be emptied. The tank is not equipped with a drain plug, so the fuel must suck out of it with a special set - ask in shops of automobile accessories. DO not suck away the fuel tank mouth!


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the filler cap to release excessive pressure in the tank.
  2. Relieve pressure in the system power supply (Section Procedure dumping fuel pressure).
  3. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  4. Suck the fuel tank specially designed for its storage container (canister). Use this procedure to perform a set of suction fuel from the tank (ask in shops of automobile accessories).
  5. If any, remove the service electrical connector mounted on the bumper of the car.
  1. If the vehicle is equipped with a trailer, give the four bolts (arrows) securing the service connector.
  1. Prop up an introduction plate (if any), trolley jack, give an introduction plate mounting bolts of the fuel tank and gently lower plate, separating it from the elements of the vehicle chassis.
  1. Taken care of adequately supported an introduction plate jack, give bolts of its fastening.

Components of the fuel tank.

  1. If the vehicle is equipped with optional tow bar, give the four bolts and separate the bracket from the rear section.
  2. Give fixing bolts and remove thermofilter exhaust pipe.
  3. Mark and disconnect all fuel hoses and brackets used to mount them.
  1. Having hooked a tip screwdriver, remove the grommet and pull out the fuel line of the chassis element.
  1. Squeeze the locking tabs couplings and separate the fuel return line.
  1. Squeeze the locking tabs on the lines of the fuel filter and disconnect the line.
  1. Having hooked a tip screwdriver, remove the fuel pump electrical connector element of the chassis.
  1. Prop up the fuel tank trolley jack. At the head of a jack and the surface of the tank to distribute the load long enough to lay a piece of wood.
  2. Disconnect the two bracket tank and 15povernite them down so that they hung, without interfering with the removal of the tank.
  1. Give nuts bracket of the fuel tank.
  1. Disconnect the hose from the tank receiving and return hose fumes.
  1. Remove the clamps to receive fuel tank hoses and vapor return.
  1. Remove the tank from the vehicle.
  1. Slowly lower the tank and remove it from under the car.
  1. Install in reverse order.
