Removal and installation of the fuel pump



See. The warning at the beginning of Section Procedure dumping fuel pressure.


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Relieve pressure in the system power supply (Section Procedure dumping fuel pressure).
  3. Remove the fuel tank (see section Removing and installing the fuel tank).
  4. Remove the ventilation line and / or fuel hoses limiting approach to cover the access to the fuel pump.
  5. Gently tapping on the outer edge of the lid with a screwdriver, give the cap by turning it counterclockwise. Remove the cover from the assembly.
  1. Gently tapping a screwdriver or dull knockout at the outer edge of the lid, give it to rotate counterclockwise.
  1. Remove the fuel pump from the tank.
  1. When removing the fuel pump from the tank, be careful not to damage the float assembly of the fuel level sensor.
  1. In the case of pump failure it must be replaced together with the fuel level sensor. Service individually, none of the units (pump and probe) can not be.
  2. Install in reverse order. Do not forget to install a new gasket on the cover flange.
