| - Using pliers, remove the retaining ring and remove the spacer washer.
| - Remove the two screws and remove the mounting plate.
| - Installation is in the reverse order - the snap ring before installation should be lubricated with grease on both sides, on the seating surface of the clutch housing apply sealant type 3 bond No 1104. Be sure also for the requirements of Specifications of the Head Transmission Line to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners (bolts couplings tightened in two steps).
Hub assembly | - Remove the clutch and its mounting components.
- Give the hub nut and remove the brake disc (see chap. Brake System).
| - Remove the hub assembly.
| - Having hooked a screw-driver, remove the hub gland assembly.
| - Using a special puller remove the inner and outer hub bearings, as well as the outer race.
- Assess the hub bolts - Replace damaged components.
| - Hubs pressing off the bolt.
| - Hubs pressing of the new bolts.
- Tamp wheel bearings lubricated with suitable mandrels zastuchite them in the hub assembly.
- With mandrel assembly plant in the Hub a new oil seal.
| - Coat sealing lips of shaft seal and bearing surface and install the hub assembly on the regular place.
| - Replace the brake disc and with the help of a special device, tighten the hub nut so that it can be released manually.
| - Using the dynamometer measuring the force bearing preload, tighten the nut the hub in accordance with the requirements of Specifications of the Head Transmission Line.
- Finally, measure the magnitude of the lateral runout of the brake disc (see. - if necessary (see. Specifications to the Head Brake system) pierce or replace the disc.
Brake shield | | - Turn out fixing bolts and remove a brake board.
- Installation is in the reverse order - Ensure compliance with the Specifications of the Head Transmission Line to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners.
Rotary Fist | | - Give a nut of a coupling bolt, remove the spring washer, remove the bolt and release of finger knuckle ball bearings of the upper control arm.
- Remove the cotter pin fixation ball tie rod and with a special puller, release your finger from the knuckle.
| - Removing the lock pin ball stud tie rod.
| - Pressing off the ball stud tie rod from the steering knuckle.
| - With the help of a stripper press out of the knuckle ball joint lower control arm.
| - Remove the knuckle.
| - Having hooked a screw-driver, remove the knuckle inner gland.
| - Using a special puller (hammer with sliding brisk) Remove the steering knuckle assembly of the needle bearing. Visually assess the condition of the bearing, in the case of signs of wear and mechanical damage to prepare a replacement.
- Examine the condition of elements of the knuckle - in the case of signs of excessive wear or mechanical damage, prepare a removable assembly.
| - Using a suitable mandrel zastuchite to knuckle needle bearing.
| - With the mandrel in a fist plant new oil seal.
| - Lubricate sealing lips of shaft seal (2) and needle bearing (1).
| - Lubricated on both sides, put on a pin of the drive shaft spacer washer.
- Put a pin on the shaft assembly of the knuckle and fill in the holes receiving the fingers of upper and lower ball joints and tie rod.
- Tighten the mounting nut with the required torque (see. Specifications of the Head Transmission Line) and fasten them with new cotter pins, - under the nut of a coupling bolt of fastening of the upper control arm do not forget to put a spring washer.
Drive shafts | - Remove the knuckle.
| - Release nut axial bolts fork lower support strut to the lower control arm.
| - Release the nut of the upper coupling bolts fork.
| - Using a hammer with soft brisk open the upper clamp forks.
| - Mark the position of the drive shaft relative to the differential housing and remove it from the latter, having hooked suitable lever - try not to damage the locking ring and boot hinge assembly.
- Installation is in the reverse order - Ensure compliance with the Specifications of the Head Transmission Line to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners.
The output shaft of the gearbox and its support bearing When removing proceed in numerical order components. Dismounting components when removing the output shaft gear of the front axle (left drive shaft removed) | | |
| - Remove the left drive shaft.
| - Remove the mounting bolts of the bearing housing to the sleeve of the bridge.
| - Release the output shaft of the differential side gear, remove it from the sleeve, then remove O-ring from the rear of the bearing housing.
| - Clamp the shaft in a vice with soft sponges and using suitable pliers, remove it with a pin retaining ring.
| - Having hooked a screw-driver, remove the bearing housing from the old packing.
| - Release the output shaft from the bearing housing.
| - Press out of the bearing housing.
- Inspect the output shaft, studying it for mechanical damage. Check for smooth and quiet running of the bearing.
- Inspect the bearing housing for cracks and other damage.
- Prepare a removable sealing components (oil seal and O-ring).
| - Using a suitable mandrel plant in the receptacle housing a new oil seal - do not forget to grease the oil seal before installing.
- Press in the output shaft bearing.
| - Fitting the bearing fitted in a shaft in a casing.
- Tap the gland lightly hammer with soft brisk, and then tuck into the receiving groove housing a new sealing ring.
- Secure the shaft a new lock ring.
- Thread the shaft into the sleeve housing bridge, entering it into engagement with the splines of the differential side gear, then screw and tighten to the required torque (see. Specifications of the Head Transmission Line) bolts of the bearing housing.
