Removal and installation of components of the steering gear



PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Post the car off the ground.
  3. Remove the front wheels.
  4. Remove the air intake of the engine inlet tract (see. Power supply systems, engine control / emission control and exhaust).
  1. Release nut choke the flow line of the working path of the steering booster and pour into the prepared container hydraulic fluid.
  1. Disconnect hydraulic hose and remove the steering pump reservoir.
  2. Remove coolant expansion tank (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  1. Remove the retaining bolt and remove the intermediate steering shaft drive.
  1. Disconnect the steering tips from the steering knuckle arm (see. Section Removal and installation of tips of steering drafts).
  1. Remove the cotter pin, release the fixing nut and press out the hinge connecting rod of the pendulum arm.
  1. Operating in a similar manner, separate connecting rod from the pitman arm ...

... steering mechanism and remove the assembly from the steering rods from under the car. If necessary, give fixing nuts and remove the rod from the rod.

  1. Disconnect from the gear casing flow line (2), - immediately slapped tape feed opening to prevent dirt from entering into the housing (1).
  1. Remove the retaining bolt (1) and fed up, remove the steering gear assembly from the engine compartment.
  1. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the idler arm assembly with the spindle.

  1. Installation is in the reverse order - Ensure compliance with the Specifications Chapter Suspension and steering the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners. Do not forget to replace the locking fastener pins.
