Removing and installing starter



Petrol models

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Remove the two screws on the upper intake manifold support bracket.
  3. Post the car off the ground.
  1. On models with Manual transmission remove the two mounting bolts and move aside the clutch slave cylinder.
  1. Remove the two lower mounting bolts and remove the intake manifold support bracket.
  1. Remove the two top bolts of fastening of a starter.
  1. Remove the lower mounting bolt, release the starter from the dome of coupling (models with Manual transmission) / torque converter (AT model) and resting, lock it in the engine compartment.
  2. Lower the car to the ground.
  3. Top disconnect the wiring from terminal S starter.
  1. Release the fixing nut and disconnect the wiring from the terminal B (1) starter - not dropped a lock washer.
  1. Again lift the car, move aside the electrical transmission and plait from the bottom, remove the starter from the engine compartment.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Get a starter in the engine compartment.
  2. Lower the car to the ground and connect the wiring to the terminal in the starter - do not forget to put the lock washer, Track reliability of a tightening of the nut.
  3. Connect wiring to terminal S.
  1. Keep a regular place on the intake manifold support bracket and secure it with the two upper screws.
  1. Lift the car and set up a starter on the regular place.
  2. Screw the first top two mounting screws, and then lower.
  3. Align the starter, then tighten the three fixing bolts with demanded effort (37 ÷ 54 Nm).
  4. Screw and tighten with demanded effort (37 ÷ 54 Nm) lower bolts intake manifold support bracket.
  5. On models with Manual transmission replace the clutch slave cylinder, - the effort of a tightening of fixing bolts and is 37 ÷ 54 Nm.
  6. Lower the car on the earth and tighten with demanded effort (37 ÷ 54 Nm) of the support bracket bolts upper intake manifold.

Diesel models

Installation Details starter on diesel models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Remove the upper starter mounting bolts.
  3. Post the car off the ground.
  4. Disconnect the wiring from the terminals in the starter and S, - try not to lose lock washer when you release the mounting screws Terminal B.
  5. Remove the lower mounting bolts and remove the starter.
  6. Installation is in the reverse order, - check compliance with the requirements of Specifications of the Head of System of an electric motor to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners.
