Removing and installing turbocharger

The design of the turbocharger

1 - turbine assembly
2 - Stop plate
3, 23 - Bolts M6
4 - The turbine wheel
5, 12 - Piston Rings
6 - thermally protective casing
7, 9 - Bushing
8 - Central housing
10 - Retaining Ring
11 - Thrust bush
12 - Piston Ring
13 - Thrust plate

14 - Oil separator
15 - Bolt
16 - Seal
17 - End Plate
18 - The compressor rotor
19 - Lock nut
20 - Retaining Ring
21 - Cover the compressor
22 - U-shaped retaining ring
24 - Assembling the actuator
25 - Hose
26 - Mounting bracket

The turbocharger operates at high temperatures and speeds, so getting in his camera work any foreign objects associated with the risk of failure of the components!

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Drain the coolant (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  2. Disconnect the air hose from the turbocharger, - take measures against falling into the turbocharger suction intake of foreign objects and debris.
Wiring the turbocharger air ducts (1 and 2)
  1. Remove the insulating cover (1).
  1. Remove the turbocharger bypass pipe water path.
  2. Disconnect the oil supplying pipe.
  1. Remove the turbocharger feeding tubes (1) and outlet (2) exhaust gases.
  1. Disconnect the receiver and outlet ports of the turbocharger.
  1. Release the fixing bolts and remove turbocharger - immediately plug the compressor and turbine nozzles to avoid falling into the working chambers turbocharger foreign objects.

To avoid getting oil into the turbine or compressor try not to turn the camera shot turbocharger, constantly orienting it as well as it was installed on the engine!

  1. Check out the free and smooth rotation of the rotor by means of a measuring instrument DTI check the rotor shaft for excessive axial and radial play. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications of the Head of the Power supply system, motor control / emission control and exhaust.
  1. Inspect the compressor and the turbine (rotor) wheels for signs of oil and carbonization, make sure there are no cracks in the wheels, deformations and other mechanical damage.
  2. Make sure do not touch the turbine rotor and the walls of the chambers of the turbocharger.
  3. After removing the retaining finger actuator rod, check the smooth functioning of the relief valve. Rate the tightness of the valve on its seat in the housing of the turbine.
  4. Installation is in the reverse order - before landing a turbocharger on a car pour a small amount of oil in the pipe connecting the oil line.
  5. Prepare a suitable oiler, start the engine and let it run for a while for 1-2 minutes on low speed. Once the oil is distributed on the inner surfaces of the turbocharger engine speed can be raised.
