Checking the parking brake

The parking brake acts on the rear wheels.

Cars up to 9/89 MY. and all models are "universal"

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Tighten the hand brake with a force of 200 N, which corresponds to 20 kg, the lever should snap into place 7 - 11 clicks.
Otherwise, adjust the handbrake.

Cars since 10/89 vol.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Tighten the hand brake with a force of 100 N, which corresponds to 10 kg, the lever should snap into place on 5 - 7 clicks.
Otherwise, adjust the handbrake.
