Headlights



Remove the cover grille (if installed) and the radiator grille.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Loosen the screws and remove the cover

Remove the four screws and remove the frame, keeping the headlight bulb (Fig. 13.28). Disconnect the connector and remove the headlight from the car.
Install the new lamp headlight, connect, install the mounting frame and secure it with screws.
Install the cover and check the lights. If you do not rotate the adjusting screws, adjust lights front light is not required.

Remove the front position lamp (Fig. 13.29).
Remove the screws and remove the springs that hold the headlamp. Disconnect the lamp connector and remove the headlight bracket.
Replace the lamp.
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

Adjusting headlights
It is important that the direction of the light beam headlights correctly adjusted.

A WARNING
It is recommended to install the lamp Holts Amber Lamp, to replace light lamps to light, which has been adopted for vehicles operating in Europe.

If the headlights are adjusted properly, they can dazzle oncoming car, the result can be an emergency or significantly reduce visibility. The lamps are provided two adjustment screws with springs, one on top of the adjustment in the vertical plane and one side for horizontal adjustment.
There are several methods of adjusting the headlamp, the easiest requires the use of light-colored wall or screen at a distance of 3 m in front of the car and a flat horizontal floor.
Preparation
Place the vehicle on a level surface at a distance of 3 m from the screen or light-colored walls.
Stick tape on the screen vertically along the longitudinal axis of the car and the centers of both headlamps.

A WARNING
If the vehicle is equipped with four lights should stick four strips in accordance with the center of each headlamp and a strip along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.

Stick the tape horizontally on the screen through the centers of all range

A WARNING
Perhaps Center headlamps easier to determine if the car park at a distance of a few centimeters from the wall.

Adjustment
When adjusting headlights, observe the following conditions:
- The vehicle must be mounted on a level ground;
- The car in running order: tank filled by half in the trunk of a set of tools and spare wheel;
- The tire pressure is normal;
- Before adjusting the need to shake the car body, to ensure that all elements of the suspension fell into place;
- The driver should be in the car.

First, adjust the lights dim light, install a zone of high intensity illumination so that it was slightly below the horizontal line and is located at a distance of 5 cm to the right (to the left headlight) or left (for right headlight) of the vertical line. Adjustment is carried out by rotating the adjusting screws (Fig. 13.30, 13.31).

Turn-beam headlamps. The zone of high intensity must be adjusted so that its center was 5 cm below the horizontal line.
Fine adjustment is possible only with the help of a special device.

A WARNING
Sometimes it is impossible to accurately adjust the lights at the same time near and far light. If you need to find a compromise solution, do not forget that daytime running lights are used more and more impact on traffic safety.
