Rear Defrost is horizontally arranged heating elements, deposited on the surface of the glass during its manufacture (Fig. 13.57).

The brightness of the warning lamp should increase as you move the stylus from the right edge of the heating element to the left. If the warning lamp lights up brightly at both ends of the heating element, check the wire firmly connected connection with "weight". All heating elements must be checked in at least two places.
To repair the breakage of the heating element is recommended to buy a repair kit, designed specially for this purpose.
To eliminate the cliff first turn off the heating system and wait for a few minutes.
Thoroughly clean the repair area with alcohol or solvent.
Glue the strips of tape on both sides of the repair. The distance between the strips should be the same as that between the heating elements. This can be checked outside the vehicle.
Small brush, apply a little silver paint between the strips of tape, overlapping the region intact on both sides.
Allow the paint to dry for 24 hours and the treated area repair hot air. When the air temperature 60 ? C the paint has dried for 30 minutes.
Despite the fact that the heater is completely ready for operation, the repair area do not touch for 24 hours.
