Replacing bulbs



Before replacing the lamp, outdoor lighting, disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal. Keep in mind that if the lamp just burned, it may be too hot.
Please check for proper electrical circuit and the fuse. Do not touch the glass bulb with bare hands. Grease marks on a lamp cause it dark and rapid failure. Be sure to replace the failed lamp bulb of the same type. Emerging inadvertently wipe stains, lint-free cloth or clean with alcohol.
Lamps used by car are shown in Table. 13.1.

Lamps front indicators and side marker lights can be replaced after a reversing screw and remove the lens (Fig. 13.32). Remove the bulb from the socket (side marker lights) or click on the lamp and turn it counter-clockwise (indicators).
Install the new bulb, check her work, and then install the lens.

Farah to replace the lamp
Open the hood. Disconnect the headlamp connector and remove the rubber cover.
Press the spring clip and remove the bulb.
Do not touch the glass bulb with bare hands. Grease marks on the lamp lead to the darkening of the bulb and rapid lamp failure. If there were grease stains, wipe with a lint free cloth or alcohol.
Install the new lamp by inserting the tabs on the lamp cap into the recesses in the reflector and secure it with the spring clip.
Install the rubber cover labeled "top" up and connect the connector. Check operation of headlights, then close the hood.

To access the ignition switch, remove the column cover. Remove the bulb from the socket and replace the new one. Install the steering column covers.

Hold the diffuser, pull it down and remove. Remove the bulb from the socket and replace the new one (Fig. 13.33). Check the operation of the lamp and the lens set.

Screwdriver diffuser / OFF button. Pull the bulb from the socket and replace the new one (Fig. 13.34). Check the LED lamp, and set the lens.
Backlight instrument cluster
Backlight instrument cluster can be replaced after removing the instrument cluster.
Turn a cartridge with a lamp, remove it from the instrument cluster and remove the bulb from the socket. Some lamps can not be removed from the cartridge, so they should be replaced with the cartridge.
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
Backlight radio
Backlight radio screwed into the sockets, they can be replaced after removal of the radio.
Backlight control panel heater
Remove the heater control panel. To ensure access to the lamps, disconnect several cables heater control.
Remove the bulb from the socket and replace the new one. Check out her work, and then install the heater control panel.
The glove compartment light
To provide access to the lamp, remove the four screws and remove the glove box.
Remove the bulb from the socket and install the new one. Check out her work, then set the storage compartment in place.
Backlight switches dashboard
Remove facing the dashboard instrument cluster near the window and disconnect the socket and bulb.
Replace the bulb, check whether it is lit, then replace the cartridge and trim.
Backlight floor
Remove the trim at the bottom of the instrument panel, and remove the bulb holder from the panel.
Replace the lamp and check its operation. Install the cartridge into the panel, then set the liner.

Remove the lens, remove the bulb from the socket (Fig. 13.35).
Install the new bulb, check her work, and then install the lens.

Lamps outdoor lighting

To access the bulb, unscrew the screws and remove the lens of the lamp lighting the license plate (see. Fig. 13.35). Install the new lamp, check whether it is lit, then set the lens.
Lamps taillights
Remove the trim trunk.

To access the stop lamp signal, reversing light, rear position light and the parking squeeze the tabs and remove the cover from the tail light (Fig. 13.36). Replace the lamp. When installing, make sure that the tabs snap into place and held casing.
Check the operation of lamps, then set the trim trunk.

Replacing the lens rear light
Remove the rear light.
Remove the nuts securing the cover (four nuts on cars sedan and coupe or seven nuts on cars hatchback). Remove the lens and seal.
Diffusers can be removed after softening the adhesive holding them in place with a hair dryer or hot-air compressor.
Install the new lenses. If possible, use old glue, heating it and push the lens into place. If reusing the old glue was not enough, apply new adhesive into the grooves in the housing lens.
Check out the new lens unit for leaks by putting it in the water.
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
