Removal, survey and installation of generator brushes



PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Remove the air filter and, depending on the equipment, take the air conditioning compressor without disconnecting the tube. Depending on the model, it may be necessary to remove the generator.
  3. Remove the mounting screws and remove the box of the voltage regulator and brush the back of the generator.
  4. If the height is less than any minimum brushes (5 mm) Unsolder lead wires and remove the brush and a spring.
  5. Wipe the contact rings of the generator with a cloth dampened with gasoline. If they are very dirty, they smooth out fine sandpaper (10-M40) and wipe with a cloth.
