Repair of starter



Disclaimer starter can be caused not only his fault. First of all, ensure clean and reliable contact the battery terminals and the traction relay, as well as a sufficiently high degree of charge of the battery.

Typically, the starter has a long life, so is economically feasible to replace the faulty starter new.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To disassemble the starter unscrew the nut and remove the connecting wire magnetic switch.
  1. Remove the bolts and remove the case of the traction relay and a spring with a mechanical arm.
  1. Remove the anchor of the traction relay of the actuator arm.
  1. If necessary, remove the bracket.
  2. Loosen the screws and remove the plug socket.
  3. Remove the retaining ring and thrust washer.
  4. Remove the through-bolts and remove the retaining end cap.
  5. Press the spring and remove the brush.
  6. Check the pinion gear for wear or damage to the teeth.
  7. The insulating mica plate should be profrezirovany to a depth of 0.6-0.8 mm.
  8. Lay in the hub grease and fit the starter in reverse order. When installing new brushes, check their free wheeling in the brush holders. When installing brushes hold a piece of spring wire.
  9. After assembling a starter supply voltage to the traction relay and check the gap between the end of the pinion gear and an emphasis on the drive housing. This gap must be in the range of 1.0 to 4.0 mm.
