The vacuum brake booster
Servo installed between the brake pedal and the master brake cylinder and serves to increase the force applied to the brake pedal. Gain obtained by the vacuum supplied from the intake manifold of the engine through a check valve. When brake pedal is applied in a vacuum chamber on both sides of the inside of the diaphragm. When the pedal is pressed one of the cavities communicates with the atmosphere, and thus pressing force is increased due to the differential pressure acting on the inner diaphragm. Malfunction of the vacuum amplifier does not affect the effectiveness of the brakes, but nevertheless requires a greater effort on the brake pedal. To check the operation of the amplifier, turn off the engine and repeatedly press the brake pedal to remove the vacuum. Press the pedal and hold it down, start the engine. At idle the brake pedal to the floor slightly prosyadet body, which indicates normal operation of the amplifier. Details of the brake pedal, a vacuum booster and master cylinder
