Removing and installing the generator

The car has a three-phase AC generator. Depending on the model and equipment can be installed generators of various capacities.

If subsequently installed on the vehicle electrical appliances with high power consumption, it is necessary to check whether there is enough available capacity of the generator. If necessary, install a new generator of a higher power.

AC voltage generated by the generator, the rectifier diode is converted into a DC voltage that produces the battery charge. The controller changes the charging current so that the operating voltage regardless of the number of revolutions was kept constant.

The generator can be replaced. A damaged alternator repaired or when buying a new generator is taken Ladder. So take away the failed generator itself.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment.

Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio security code, if any, address to Section Replacement of the battery.

Do not connect an auxiliary power supply.

2. Engine 111: Remove the air filter, refer to Section Removal and installation of the air filter.
3. Engine 112: Remove the air intake duct on the front passenger side.
4. Remove the V-belt, address to Section Removal and installation of the V-belt.
5. Remove the protective cover (4) and remove the fat (B +) wire (1) from the terminal 30.

6. Disconnect (D +) wire (2) from the terminal 61.

7. Remove the bolts (3). Remove the spacer sleeve top bolt and remove the generator from the engine compartment upward.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Place the generator in place and secure it with torque 42Nm.

Note spacer sleeve top bolts.

2. Attach the wire to the terminal (B +) of the generator indicated in the Specifications effort.
3. Put on the terminal 30 protective cap.
4. Secure the generator (D +) wire 5Nm moment.
5. Put the V-belt, address to Section Removal and installation of the V-belt.
6. Engine 111: Install the air filter housing, refer to Section Removal and installation of the air filter.
7. Engine 112: Install the air intake duct.
8. Connect the earth cable (-) battery when the ignition is switched off. Replace the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the code for the radio and set the time on the clock.
