Check the brake system for leaks

Verification is performed using a special tester (051), connected to the valve pumping the brake caliper.

Check brake circuit for leaks

051 - tester

080 - Gates for squeezing the pedal

High-pressure test

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Run the engine at moderate speed, then a sharp releasing the gas pedal to create a deep vacuum in the intake manifold.
  2. Using a special gate (080) to fully depress the brake pedal. The pressure drop over the next 5 minutes should amount to no more than 5% - believe on the tester (051).

Low-head test

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Stop the engine and a few taps on the brake pedal fully relieve depression.
  2. With gate (080) Depress the pedal so that the tester (051) recorded a pressure of 3 bar - the pressure must be kept for at least 2 minutes.
  3. In summary pump over brake system (see. Section Bleeding brake system).
