Repair of fixed-type caliper



The design of fixed caliper type (front wheel brakes)

45 - anthers
47 - Pistons
50 - Cuffs
020 - tongs for rotation of the pistons

026 - Tongs
027 - Plates
040 - metal segments

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the caliper (see. Section Removal and installation brake caliper).
  2. Using forceps (026) and a suitable plate (027) anthers bend (45).
  3. Fill in a support metal segment (040), and then, the compressed air supply, press the pistons (47) all the way into the cylinders.

As a segment of the chip can be used a brake disk.

  1. Using special forceps (020) remove the piston from the cylinder.
  2. Visually estimate a condition of working surfaces of pistons and cylinders. If necessary, replace the caliper.
  3. Remove from the grooves in the cylinder sleeve (50).
  4. Installation is in the reverse order - before boarding Grease new seal (50) with fresh brake fluid.
