Removing and installing brake caliper



Front brake

Details of the installation of a fixed caliper type brake front wheel

5 - Line Breaks
31 - Caliper
35 - Bolts

S10 / 1 - Brake pad wear sensor left front wheel
S10 / 1x1 - Terminal Block Sensor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the caliper (31) brake line (5), - immediately plug the open end of the tube.
  2. Release of contact pads (S10 / 1x1 or S10 / 2x1) wear indicator (S10 / 1 and S10 / 2).
  3. Remove the terminal block (S10 / 1 and S10 / 2) from the support (31).
  4. Otboltite support (31) from the knuckle assembly.
  5. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to replace microencapsulated bolts (35).
  6. In summary pump hydraulic path (see. Section Bleeding brake system) and check up serviceability of functioning of brakes.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Clamp and disconnect from the calipers (2) Brake Hose (1).
  2. Separate the caliper (2) from the anchor bracket (6) - Prepare hidden removable guides microencapsulated bolts (3).
  3. Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor (installed only in the mechanism of the right rear wheel).
  4. Using a suitable tool to press the cylinder piston (4), - ready to collect the expelled liquid from the tank GTZ.
  5. Strip support a special brush.
  6. Check the caliper (2) for signs of leaks, check the condition of the piston boot (4). Defective components (support / Bellow) replace.
  7. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to replace microencapsulated bolts (3).
  8. In summary pump hydraulic path (see. Section Bleeding brake system) and check up serviceability of functioning of brakes.
