Transmission shift interlock system - the general information, check of a condition and replacement of components

general information
The system lock switch prevents the output of the selector lever from the "P" and N "without squeezing the brake pedal. Except as described below, simple checks to troubleshoot system failures should be entrusted to experts of car-care center. CHECK | 1. Remove the central console (see chap. Body). 2. Walk on the wiring harness from the solenoid valve to the shift lock pin and disunite the last. Using a pair of wire-post jumper battery voltage terminals of the solenoid valve, - should hand clearly audible click.  | Do not leave the valve is energized for longer than is really necessary to check! |
3. Faulty solenoid valve must be replaced. |

Component Replacement
Solenoid valve lock switch | 1. Remove the central console (see chap. Body). 2 .Snimite position indicator mode selected AT. 3. Disconnect the wiring from the solenoid valve lock switch. Threading a thin rod into the front part of the connector, press the locking tabs and disunite a socket. 4. Remove the fixing screws and remove the assembly of the solenoid valve. 5. Install in the reverse order. |

Bowden cable lock key | 1. To replace the ragged rope drive lock key, remove the cover of the column cover and center console (see chap. Body). 2. Remove the lock cylinder lock plate, then release the assembly from the upper tip of the drive cable. | 3. Release the cover of a cable lock key from the bracket at the bottom of the selector lever. Remove the clamp and disconnect the cable from the lever. |
| 4. Release the slider control from the holder and remove the stem lock key; the introduction of the rod in the holder of the new regulator of a cable is necessary to push it until it clicks. |
5. The further installation is made in the reverse order of dismantle of components. |
