The power unit with manual transmission



Dismantling


A warning

The motor can be dismounted from the vehicle only as part of the power unit (ie, complete with transmission). The power unit is lowered and gets out of the car. In order to smoothly control the engine in such a way, the car must be raised to a height of 75 cm (from the floor to the front bumper), and mounted on the stand.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Place the vehicle on a firm and level surface. Lock the rear wheels, handbrake turn. Lift the front of the car and establish on supports.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Remove the screws and remove all the shields of the motor.
4. Remove hood (see. Subsection 13.7).
5. Drain the coolant.
6. Drain oil from the gearbox, screw and tighten both plugs.
7. Drain the oil and remove the oil filter, clean and tighten the drain plug.
8. Remove the battery.
9. Remove the expansion tank with the bracket.
10. Remove the seat.
11. Remove the generator.
12. On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, unscrew the bolts of the compressor, take the compressor aside and fix. Hoses not to disconnect from the air conditioner.
13. Remove the power steering pump (see. Subpart 12.15).
14. Remove the brake calipers, take aside and fix, without disconnecting hoses.
15. Disconnect the CV joints from the hub.
16. Remove the semi-axis (see. Subsection 10.2).
17. Disconnect from Checkpoint thrust gear and clutch cable.
18. Remove the spar.
19. Remove the front exhaust pipe.
20. Remove the radiator hoses and fan.
21. Remove the stabilizer bar (see. Subsection 12.6).
22. On carburettor engines remove or disconnect the following parts and assemblies:

- air filter;
- Fuel hoses;
- The throttle cable;
- Wire carburetor;
- A hose of the vacuum amplifier, the cooling system hoses and other sensors and valves;
- Rack intake manifold;
- Exhaust gas sensor connector.
23. injection engines, follow these steps:

- Remove the air duct of the air filter;
- Follow activities decompression of the fuel system, disconnect the throttle body fuel hoses;
- Disconnect the accelerator cable;
- Disconnect the wiring;
- Take conducting aside from the engine.
24. Disconnect the intake manifold all hoses.
25. Remove the rack intake manifold.
26. Put identification tags and disconnect from the engine heater hoses and coolant hoses.
27. Disconnect the wiring from the ignition distributor, ignition coil and power transistor unit. Release the sleeve of the wiring terminals on the cylinder head and take aside. Loosen the bolts and remove all cables connected to the mass of the cylinder head and intake manifold.
28. Disconnect the speedometer cable from the checkpoint and wires.
29. Attach the hoist to lift the eyes of the cylinder head, pull hoist, it was perceived that the weight of the power unit.
30. Mark the position of the coupling bolt (arrow) in the front support bracket of the power unit, remove the nut of a coupling bolt and remove the bolt.
31. Remove the nut and get a coupling bolt of a back support (arrow). Remove the front support and the bracket.
32. Remove the right support and a rubber cushion.
33. Remove the left support and a rubber cushion.
34. Make sure that all the parts, wires and hoses that may hinder dismantling, disconnected, removed and laid aside.
35. Roll under the engine carriage and gently lower the power unit. This operation is advisable to perform an assistant, because you need a little tilt the engine not to touch the body.
36. Roll out the power unit from the car.

Removal PPC

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Fix the removed power unit wooden bars, putting it on a clean and level surface.
2. Remove the bolts and remove the starter.
3. Unscrew the gearbox, marking the location of each screw.
4. Carefully separate the PPC engine, making sure that the weight is not perceived Gearbox input shaft during its exit from the clutch disc.
5. Remove the dowel pins CPR if their landing weakened.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the check point shot from the engine, then follow the steps below in paragraphs. 3-7. If CPR is not removed, then the installation, guided n. 8 and beyond.
2. On the input shaft splines, apply a thin layer of refractory greasing.
3. Install studs (if removed), ensure that the release bearing is securely fixed to the clutch fork.
4. Carefully set the PPC engine on the guide pins. When installing weight CPR should not be perceived primary shaft.
5. Tighten the screws on the transaxle housing and tighten the with the set moment.
6. Install the starter.
7. Place the power unit under the car and attach the hoist lift.
8. Working with an assistant, carefully lift the powerplant in the engine bay.
9. Replace the left support bracket rubber cushions, making sure the cushion to pin into the holes in the bracket. Establish a support and tighten bolts with the set moment. Tighten the nut of a coupling bolt by hand.
10. Install the cushion on the right side of the bracket body. Establish a support and tighten bolts with the set moment. Tighten the nut of a coupling bolt by hand.
11. Insert a coupling bolt of a back support and tighten the nut by hand.
12. Install the spar and tighten bolts.
13. Install the front support bracket and tighten the screws. Insert the coupling bolt. Orient the motor so that the coupling bolt support precisely aligned with the labels put before dismantling, tighten the nut bolts with the set moment. The distance between the centers of the bolts and support bracket should be 55 (?� 1,0) mm.
14. Shake the power unit and tighten the remaining tightening bolts with the set moment.
15. Next, the installation of the power unit in reverse order.
16. Make sure that the wiring is laid on the same routes and fixed clips and staples, and that all the connectors are connected.
17. Replace the seals semi-axes and set the half-line at the checkpoint.
18. Connect all coolant hoses.
19. Adjust the accelerator cable (see. Subsection 6.1.7).
20. Attach and adjust the clutch cable (see. Subsection 8.3).
21. Install and adjust drive belts.
22. Change the oil in the engine and gearbox.
23. Fill the coolant.
24. Start the engine and check for leaks.
