Check pads rear drum brakes



PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lock the front wheel, lift the rear of the car and establish on supports. Remove the rear wheels.
2. To check the rear brake pad wear without removing the drum, remove the plug inspection holes in the brake shields. Inspect the front pad with a mirror, illuminating torch. Make sure that the thickness of the pad is not lower than normal, which bring to a strip bar diameter is equal to the thickness of the lining limit (see. Subsection 2.1).
3. If the residual thickness of the lining at least one standard value corresponds to, or exceeds this value, replace all four brake pads in the kit.
4. If the thickness of the brake linings in this way is difficult to check, or if you want more detailed inspection, it is possible to remove the brake drums at the same time and check their status (see. Subsection 11.6).
