Adjust the ignition timing
The ignition timing is adjusted to the adjusted warm engine idle speed as follows:
| PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Connect to the engine a stroboscope. | | 2. Start the engine and run at idle. | | 3. At engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum-proof-reader of the distributor of ignition and to muffle it. At engines in working volume of 1,6 l vacuum hose is not disconnected. | | 4. To direct stroboscope lamp in the area of adjusting labels: at engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 liters per crankshaft pulley, while the engine 1.6-liter top box in the clutch housing, previously removing the plastic plug. At engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l mark on the pulley should coincide with the projection of A (see. Fig. Adjust belt camshaft drive) plate 9. Engine 1.6-liter mark ignition timing should coincide with tide on the clutch housing. | | 5. If the tags do not match, to adjust the ignition timing. To do this, engine displacement of 1.1 liters and 1.3 loosen the bolts 20 (see. Fig. The ignition distributor) fastening of the distributor, while the 1.6-liter engines loosen the bolts of the distributor, and by turning the ignition distributor, to achieve combination of labels. Tighten the distributor of ignition. | | 6. Stop the engine. Disconnect strobe and connect vacuum hose to vacuum-proof-reader of the distributor. |
