Fuel injectors




A warning

When testing the operation of fuel atomizers never substitute hands or any part of the body under the stream of fuel coming out of the nozzle. Fuel exits the injector at high pressure can penetrate into the body through the skin. It is recommended to charge a specialist work to verify the nozzles under pressure.


To determine the faulty injector, make sure that the engine is serviceable also compression level is identical in all cylinders.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Loosen the union nut of the fuel injector to the auditee. Note whether the changed engine speed.
3. When a working fuel injector will be a marked reduction in engine speed, accompanied by his uneven work. If the checked atomizer is faulty, change of turns of the engine will be insignificant and disappear if present earlier, extraneous knock.
4. The presence of a faulty fuel injector indicate the following deviations in engine work:
- Gaps in the cylinder;
- Knock on one or more cylinders;
- Engine overheating;
- Reduction of engine power;
- From the exhaust pipe is thick black smoke;
- Increase in fuel consumption;
- Blue smoke when starting a cold engine.
