Replacement of protective covers of the drive shaft



If cracks or tears of a protective cover of the drive shaft must be replaced immediately.
A warning

Depending on the modification of the internal hinge of a vehicle drive shaft can be ball or tripoidnogo type. The hinge tripoidnogo type instead of six balls used three rollers arranged at an angle of 120 ?�.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the drive shaft and secure it in a vise with soft jaws.
2. Use paint, mark the position of a protective cover of the constant velocity joint on the drive shaft in order to be able to install the protective cover in place.
3. Remove the clamps that hold the protective cover of the drive shaft, and move the protective cover to the drive shaft.
4. aluminum or copper hammer bring down the hinge from a power shaft.
The internal hinge
5. Remove the retaining ring 11 (see. Fig. Drive shaft with ball constant velocity joint) holding the internal hinge to the drive shaft. Press out the drive shaft from the hinge.
6. Before attaching a protective cover of clamps when assembling a screwdriver pry up the inside edge of the protective cover to equalize the air pressure under the cover.
