Adjusting the parking brake
Adjusting the parking brake is carried out only after the replacement of the parking brake cable, caliper, brake pads and brake discs, for which: - Lock the front wheels, post the rear of the car and fasten it to the support column; - Remove the top decorative trim lever; - Remove the rear of the center console. To adjust the parking brake rear brake drum, do the following: - Fully release the parking brake lever; - Depress the brake pedal until it stops, then tighten the hand brake on four clicks on the ratchet; - Release the lock nut and tighten the cable adjusting nut on one side, so that the rear wheel on this side of hard-cranked by hand; - Release the parking brake and check that the wheel on this side rotates freely; - Tighten the lock nut control cable; - Perform an operation similar to the adjustment on the second wheel; - Replace the rear center console and upper trim lever. To adjust the parking brake rear brake disc type, do the following: - Fully release the parking brake lever; - Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the adjusting nuts so that both levers on the support moved to an emphasis. At the same time hold the threads of the cables with a screwdriver;

- Tighten adjusting nuts so that the levers on the support away from the stops not more than 1.5 mm (Fig. 12.31). At the same time hold the threads of the cables with a screwdriver; - Apply the parking brake and check that the rear wheels Do not turn, and then release the parking brake lever and make sure the rear wheels rotate freely; - Replace the rear center console and upper trim lever.
