Replacing the front brake caliper



Removing the front brake caliper spend in the following order:
hang out the front of the car and fix on support column;
Remove the front wheels;
press a brake hose;
Loosen, without turning completely, connection brake hose to the caliper;
on the support VW unscrew two bolts of fastening of a support;

Girling on support, unscrew the guide pin bolts holding the guide pin from turning a wrench (see. Fig. 12.5);
remove the front brake pads;
rotating saddle, remove it from the brake hose. Stop brake hose stopper;
if necessary, unscrew the bolt and remove the holder with knuckle pads.
Dismantling slide sequence is as follows:
Caliper clean from dust and dirt;

supplied to the brake cylinder through the opening for connecting the brake hose low pressure air, remove the piston from a support, while setting in place the brake pads wooden block (Fig. 12.8);

Removing the sealing ring grooves in the bore of the caliper

remove the dust cover from the groove in the piston and the O-ring out of the groove in the bore of a support (Fig. 12.9);
Rinse all details in methyl spirit or a pure brake liquid and wipe them;
when assembling the caliper using a new O-ring and piston dust cover;
put on a hole in the caliper piston and O-ring with clean brake fluid. Install O-ring in the hole of a support;
install the dust cover on the piston so as to cover their inner diameter of the piston into the groove; Insert the piston into a support and simultaneously insert an external edge of a dustproof cover into a support before its fixing.
The installation of a forward support spending in the following order:
If you shoot pad holder, set it at the knuckle and fasten bolts regulated torque;
screw on the caliper brake hose;
Install the brake pads;
Install the caliper bracket on the pad;
bleed the brake system;
Establish a wheel and lower the car.
