lock the front wheels hang out and fix on support struts rear of the vehicle;
Remove the appropriate rear wheel and release the parking brake;
Install the clamp on the hose from the caliper;
Loosen the nut on the brake hose, but do not unscrew it at this stage;
Remove the brake pads;
Disconnect the hose from the brake caliper. Stop stopper suitable diameter end of the hose;
if necessary, loosen the holder of a support of the rear axle.
Dismantling slide sequence is as follows:
Wipe the caliper from dirt and dust;
establish a support plate upstroke;
using the lever, remove the dust cap of the piston;

Using the tool VW 3131 for the installation of the piston in the caliper
Fig. 12.14. Using the tool VW 3131 for the installation of the piston in the caliper

Remove the plunger from the barrel using the tool VW 3131 (see. fig. 12.14);
Use a screwdriver to remove the sealing ring from the cylinder piston calipers;
Remove the dust cover from the piston;
unscrew the valve pumping;
Clean all parts caliper alcohol or clean brake fluid and wipe them. Inspect the piston and caliper for wear or other damage.
Caliper assembly sequence is as follows:
apply to the support cylinder and the cuff clean brake fluid;
set the cuff into the groove of the cylinder;

Installing the dust cover into the groove of the caliper
Fig. 12.16. Installing the dust cover into the groove of the caliper

Install the dust cap on the smooth end of the piston, and then press the piston in the caliper. Using a screwdriver, insert the dust cover into the groove of the caliper (Fig. 12.16);

Rear brake caliper

Install the piston 5 (Fig. 12.17) into the hole and secure it. Dust cap is fixed in a groove at the outer end of the piston;
to adjust the pressure regulator requires special equipment, so its implementation entrusted to experts specialized service station;
Brake pressure regulator is working with the self-leveling rear suspension system. Air line connects the alignment with a pressure regulator, and if the pressure regulator or compressor in the system of equalization should be removed or disconnected, it is necessary to release the compressed air from the system;
Apply a small amount of paste on the thread of the brake cylinder, then tighten the valve pumping into a support;
install a new cap on the valve pumping.

Rear disc brakes
