Removing and installing the camshaft housing

NOTE
In this engine camshafts arranged in the camshaft housing. Before removing the casing must be removed camshaft timing cover.
Seating surfaces crankcase the camshaft can not be processed.

Withdrawal
First, you must check whether the car radio with coding. If so, you should know the security code.
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when the ignition is switched off.
Remove the timing cover.
Rotate the crankshaft to TDC of the first cylinder, then turn the crankshaft back against the direction of rotation of the motor by about 45 ? and remove the camshaft sprocket with timing chain.
Remove the EGR valve and remove the camshaft cover.
Disconnect plug the fuel pressure sensor for low pressure.
Remove the earth cable from the crankcase the camshaft.
Remove the ignition coil. To do this, use a wheel puller.
Remove the box with wiring harness to the crankcase the camshaft.

The plug and fuel supply
Fig. 2.39. The plug and fuel supply

Disconnect and plug the fuel supply line from the high-pressure pump (Fig. 2.39).
Remove the guide and remove the clip from the high-pressure line.

NOTE
When loosening the union nut hold the threads on the high pressure pump and the bottom of the intake manifold with a wrench.

Unscrew the union nuts 3 and 1 line of high pressure.
Disconnect the plug from the Hall sensor.
Remove the dipstick.
Remove the lower part of the intake manifold.
Remove the left eye for hanging.
Loosen and remove the fixing bolts from the camshaft housing edges to the center, alternating crosswise.
Carefully lift camshaft housing.

Setting
Remove any residual sealant from the cylinder head and camshaft housing standard sealant remover.

NOTE
Pistons not be located at TDC.

Do not allow dirt and sealant residue in the cylinder head.
Thoroughly clean seating surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
Turn the inlet and exhaust camshafts until camshaft holder will not enter the holes in the camshafts to the stop.
For fastening clamp screw M6 bolt by hand; without tightening.

Applying sealant
Fig. 2.40. Applying sealant

Apply sealant to clean the seating surface of cam housing a thin uniform wiring. See the shaded area in the figure 2.40.

NOTE
Harness sealant should not be too thick, otherwise the excess sealant may get into the oil passages, leading to engine damage.

Installation of the valve stem in the corresponding support elements
Fig. 2.41. Installation of the valve stem in the corresponding support elements

Make sure all the right levers roller attached to the ends of the valve stems zaklipsovany 1 and the corresponding support element 2 (Fig. 2.41).
Before installing the camshaft housing, screw the two spacers (M6x80) in the cylinder head.
Gently replace the camshaft housing vertically on top of the spacer bolts and the cylinder head dowel pins.

NOTE
Do not spill oil on the adjacent surface.

Tighten new fixing bolts of the camshaft housing crosswise, alternately from the center outwards.
Make sure that the camshaft housing is not warped. Tightening torque 10 Nm + to tighten 1/4 turn (90 ?)

NOTE
After installation of the camshaft housing sealant must be dry in about 30 minutes.

Adjust the timing.
Further installation is performed in reverse order.
Install the timing cover.
Connect the fuel lines.
