Replacing the oil seal on the side of the crankshaft vibration damper



The order of execution of works
Result a radiator framework in service position.
Remove the vibration damper.

NOTE
When removing the oil seal, make sure that the landing surface was not damaged.


Removal of the seal ring

Carefully remove the old seal ring using puller T20143 / 2 (Fig. 2.174).
Remove the remaining oil on the crank pin of the crankshaft with a clean cloth.

NOTE
Remove the support ring of the oil seal before mounting.


Mounting sleeve

Connect the mounting sleeve T10196 / 1 and the mounting sleeve T10196 / 2. Put the oil seal A to stop the mounting sleeve T10196 / 2 (Fig. 2.175).
Disconnect the mounting sleeve.

Install the mounting sleeve T10196 / 2 together with the gland seal on the crankshaft and tighten the thumbscrews A by hand (Fig. 2.176).
Fitting the seal with the mounting sleeve T1096 / 3 to the stop.
Further installation is performed in reverse order.
