Removing and installing automatic transmission (A4AF3)
Withdrawal
Like Remove the plug and drain oil for automatic transmission (ATF) of the gearbox (Fig. 3.98). Remove the air filter assembly.
| Fig. 3.99. Clamps outlet and inlet oil cooler hose
|
Remove the clamps and disconnect the outlet and inlet hoses, automatic transmission oil cooler (Fig. 3.99).
NOTE After disconnecting the hose must be closed with plugs holes in the hoses and fittings gearboxes to prevent the ingress of dust or dirt particles. |
Remove the automatic transmission control cable.
| Fig. 3.101. Connectors starter interlock switch, solenoid valves and automatic transmission oil temperature sensor
|
Disconnect the switch of blocking of a starter (switch selector lever), solenoid valves, automatic transmission oil temperature sensor, a brake switch actuator forced Downshift (Kickdown servo switch) (Fig. 3.101).
Remove the bolt transmission to the engine, located at the top of the CAT (Fig. 3.102).
Fix the engine on a special device (traverse 09200-38001) for the mounting brackets (Fig. 3.103). Lift up the vehicle. Disconnect the tie rods, ball joints of the lower suspension arm and remove the drive shafts. Remove the steering gear and stabilizer bar. Remove the universal joint shaft steering.
NOTE Put labels relative position of the universal joint shaft of the steering shaft and steering before removing to simplify assembly. |
Remove the starter. Remove the bolts from the transmission. Remove the bolts from the gearbox to the engine. Remove the gearbox assembly via the strut transmission (T / M jack).
ATTENTION Supports the engine and transmission to be installed in a specific order. |
To install the support bracket Bracket side engine mount. A support arm of a transmission. Bracket rear engine mount. Front engine mount bracket.
ATTENTION Be careful when installing the front engine mount bracket, Do not damage or deform the support. If the support is broken, it may be a strong vibration of the power unit with the engine idling. |
Setting
Connect the converter Transmission and install the transmission assembly to the engine (Fig. 3.105).
ATTENTION If you first install the torque converter to the engine, then the installation of the transmission will be damaged gland checkpoint. Therefore, prior to assembly of the power unit, always install the converter from the transmission (Fig. 3.106). |
