Removing and installing battery



If the vehicle is put on non-use (the engine will not start) for more than 20 days, remove the IOD fuse in the power distribution center in order to avoid excessive battery discharge.


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect from the battery both wires.

First, always disconnect the negative cable from the battery to prevent accidental short circuit of give positive terminal clamp.


If the radio in your car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery negative cable, make sure that you know this code.

  1. Remove the battery clamp.
  1. Give two nuts (arrows), and then remove the battery clamp.
  1. Remove the battery thermofilter.
  1. Remove the battery. Be careful - it weighs a lot.

The shops of automobile accessories at a reasonable price, you can buy special, equipped with handles to facilitate the bandages removing the battery from the vehicle.

  1. After removing the battery, check the status of the holder (pallet) (for signs of corrosion or other damage).
  2. If corrosion is switched to the battery bracket, give the bolts and remove the bracket. Shoe support using a solution of baking soda will help prevent the bracket from further oxidation.
  1. The components of the pallet and the clamping plate of the battery.
  1. If the battery needs to be replaced, be sure the battery to re-acquired by the design, size and output characteristics correspond to replace.
  2. Install in reverse order.
