Installing Transceiver

The electronic control system has been designed so that the external radio waves are not exerted a significant influence on it. However, if the antenna cable or amateur transceiver installed about a vehicle control unit, they may be harmful, even if the output power of transceiver does not exceed 25 watts.

To protect the electronic control systems from the effects of operating the transceiver, you must meet the following requirements.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the antenna on the roof or rear bumper.
2. As well as the radio waves emitted from the antenna coaxial cable, keep it at a minimum distance of 200 mm from the control unit and wiring harness. If the cable crosses the harness, place it so that it is at right angles to the wire harness.
3. The antenna and cable should be well coordinated and the standing wave ratio should be low.
4. Transmitter with high output power shall not be installed in the car.
