Check of residual pressure in the fuel system

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

A warning

The fuel system is under pressure even after the engine is switched off, therefore before a detachment of pipelines it is necessary to remove pressure in fuel system.

2. Remove the fuel pressure.
3. Lift the car.
4. Connect the measuring instrument OK2A1 131 001 A to the fuel filter.
5. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
6. An additional wire connect plugs FUEL PUMP (the fuel pump) and In the diagnostic socket.
7. Turn on ignition no more than 10, whereby the fuel pump starts to work and create the desired pressure in the fuel system. If the ignition is left on for more than 10 seconds, an additional wire will overheat. Check for fuel leakage from the fuel system.
8. Turn off the ignition and remove additional a wire connecting the terminals of the diagnostic socket.
9. After 25 minutes, check the pressure in the fuel system.

The residual pressure in the fuel system: 180 kPa

10. If the pressure is less than the required check the following components:

- fuel pump;
- pressure regulator;
- The fuel injectors.
