Checking the fuel pump relay




A warning

The fuel system is under pressure even after the engine is switched off, therefore before a detachment of pipelines it is necessary to remove pressure in fuel system.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Listen to click if the fuel pump relay when the ignition.
2. Remove the fuel pump relay and check its performance. Additional wires submit pressure from the battery to the contacts 85 and 86 of the fuel pump relay.
3. Check that the contacts 87 and 30 of the fuel pump relay closed when energized and open when the voltage is switched off.
4. Otherwise, replace the fuel pump relay.
