Knock sensor



Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect an electric socket of the gauge of detonation and remove the knock sensor. Secure the knock sensor in a vise and connect a voltmeter between terminals 1 and 2.
2. Hammer sharply hit the vice and watch the voltmeter.
3. Check that the knock sensor produces peak voltage (less than 1).
4. If the peak voltage is absent, replace the knock sensor.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the intake manifold support bracket.
2. Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness.
3. Remove the bolt and the knock sensor.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the knock sensor and fasten the bolt.
2. Install the knock sensor wiring harness.
3. Install the intake manifold support bracket.
