Ignition timing



PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
3. Turn off all electric power consumers.
4. Connect the high-voltage wire of the first cylinder sensor strobe.
5. combination of labels on the crankshaft pulley with the index on a casing of a gear belt, check the ignition timing.

Ignition timing: 8 ?� 5 ?� BTDC (at idling speed)
(6 ?� 5 ?� BTDC: A5D engine for Europe)


A warning

The ignition timing is not adjustable.


6. If the ignition timing is not within the specified range, replace the ECM.
